Laser Markers and Automatic Levels

Laser markers are every land surveyor’s tool in order to get their tasks and responsibilities done. The logic behind laser markers is that there is no need to do manual land measuring using the archaic methods of chalk, compass and string. With laser markers, everything else is automated. The key to having reliable and accurate results from a laser marker is by using a laser marker that provides a range that falls within the land area being measured. Today, there are laser markers that have maximum ranges of 250 to 500 meters, and that is quite a wide area of coverage when you think about it. By assigning points on the land area being measured, one can get a more or less accurate measurement of the legal boundaries and perimeter of the said land area in focus.

The use of laser markers is handy especially when defining land measurements and boundaries in irregular land areas, heavily forested regions, uninhabited land and other expansive blocks of land that may not be easily measured manually even with the presence of several land surveyors on site. A laser marker is also a handy tool since it only makes use of batteries for it to function. Even if the land area being measured is beyond the bounds of civilization where electricity is absent, one can still make full use and take full advantage of laser markers. What’s more is that the measurements derived from a laser marker’s beams are definitely accurate and can leave marks on the land area for recording purposes. It can deliver automatic levels resulting from the ease of use of laser markers.

Even if you leave a laser marker on the field, it will hardly be moved from its place. Unlike the archaic use of chalks and strings to mark a particular land area, once the wind blows the position of the string from its original point, it can render inaccurate results with negative effects in the long run.
Today, land surveying tools employ a lot of technology in order to make work fast and accurate. Sokkia is the industry leader for land measurement equipments such as laser markers, automatic leveling devices and other related construction technologies.
